Hey Friend (Stamp of Approval Box)

Hey, friends! Today I am sharing another card using the Stamp of Approval Box by Catherine Pooler. I am having so much fun creating with this box! It is filled with many goodies that can be easily combined with any other products you have in your stash already. I like to combine the die cuts with embossing powder to create my own glittery pieces. 🙂

Today’s card looks like I put a lot of effort and time in it while in reality, it only took me about 20 minutes to create this card! Isn’t that brilliant? I normally spend at least 50 minutes on a card. I started out by stamping black flowers using the In Bloom: Eva’s Favorite Flowers stamp set that is included in the box. Then, I added some color to those flowers by stamping the solid stamp from the set with various bold and bright colors of dye inks.

In yesterday’s video, I shared how to create your own glittery die cut words. I did the same for today’s card using the Friend die cut from CAS-ual Fridays along with WOW! Florida Sunset embossing powder. This is a beautiful pink embossing powder with a little bit of gold glitter in it. To finish up the card, I adhered a strip of black washi tape and a piece of silver glitter paper. Easy and fast! 🙂

That’s it for now! See you soon! xo

  1. You are like a breath of fresh air! Very inspirational! Thank you!

  2. Gosh – I would never have guessed you only spent a short time making this fabulous card! Strong work 😉

  3. Beautiful card, Laura. I love how you did your flowers.

  4. Beautiful card! Very creative use of stamps and inks!

  5. Fantastic card! Just love the way you did the flowers in black and then stamped the colour, so they aren’t completely coloured in. Would love to have a look in one of those boxes, maybe at some stage you could do a photo or video of what the box contains???

  6. Love the idea of stamping over the black flowers. I have so many techniques I want to try, try again. It is hard to remember all of the possibilities. Any tips on organizing and remembering technique options? How many layers does the front of this card have? Thank you for the inspiration!

Write them down in a planner. 🙂 Or create swatch cards and write what you did on the back. For example: you could do an emboss resist background on a small piece of paper and write what you did on the back. This card has 4 layers including the friend die. 🙂
