Saturday Stamp Day – Chirpy Chirp Chirp (Featuring Lawn Fawn + Mini MISTI)

Happy Saturday, everyone! I am thrilled to be back with a brand new Saturday Stamp Day card and video. Lately I have been very busy with college. I have been preparing for an internship at kindergarten. It’s starting on Monday so I am looking forward to it. 🙂

In today’s Saturday Stamp Day video, I am featuring the adorable Chirpy Chirp Chirp set from Lawn Fawn along with their gorgeous Flower Border die and the brand new Mini MISTI from My Sweet Petunia.

I started out by die cutting a rectangle using the Large Stitched Rectangles die cut set from Lawn Fawn.  Then, I grabbed the brand new Flower Border die to die cut it out of the white paper. I die cut that border multiple times using some colored card stock. Since this is an intricate die, I used the Sizzix Precision Base Plate for extra support. If you don’t have this tool, then try adding a couple of sheets of card stock under your cutting pads. However, the Precision Base Plate is a good investment for your craft room. 🙂

After die cutting all of the borders, it was time for the fun part! The inlaid die cutting technique is one of my favorites out there so I really wanted to use it for today’s project. I adhered the white negative piece of the flower die cut onto a white rectangle using a bunch of adhesive. Then, I cut the flowers and the stalks to create my little pieces. After popping those in, my flower border was ready! I think it turned out pretty cute even though I say so myself! 😉

The Chirpy Chirp Chirp set is so cute, don’t you think? 🙂 It comes with adorable images and some matching sentiments. I pieced together a sentiment using the Mini MISTI tool from My Sweet Petunia (more information at the bottom of this post). After stamping the greeting, I stamped some of the images and colored them with Copic Markers. I die cut those with the matching dies. Finally, I assembled my project by adhering a piece of patterned paper from Avery Elle and by adhering the chick piece with dimensional adhesive.

A while ago, My Sweet Petunia announced the Mini MISTI Tool. As soon as I got the Mini MISTI in the mail, I was in love! I am a big fan of the original MISTI tool but the Mini MISTI is just really handy for making cards since it’s measures 6×7 inches. The stamp area measures 6 x 4.75. In the video, I mentioned that I am using the prototype. The hinges of the prototype are different than the actual MISTI tools that you’ll be ordering. 🙂 I like using the Mini MISTI tool for stamping sentiments like the ones I used for today’s card. IF I really have to choose between the original MISTI and the mini one, I would probably go for the Mini MISTI sine it’s smaller and cheaper. Since I only make cards, I don’t need a larger one so the Mini MISTI is the perfect size to me. 🙂

That’s it for now! Thanks so much for taking the time to watch my video! I appreciate it. Big hugs to all of you! xo
