Hi, all! Happy Friday! Today I’m here with a brand new card and video in honor of the Winnie & Walter June 2017 Release Week featuring lots of cute sets. I’m particularly excited about all of the new critter sets! Those just make my heart happy. Today is Day No. 4 of Release Week so that means all of the products will be available for purchase shortly (06/30 at 10pm CST).
In this video I’m featuring the brand new and simply adorable Happy Dance with Evelin T Designs Set to create a watercolored birthday card.
I spent about an hour on this card since I did a bunch of watercoloring with Distress Inks and with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Like I mentioned in the video, coloring with these ZIG Markers is so easy, fun and very forgiving! I only used one color for each shade and look at that shading! Isn’t that easy? Just lay down some color and blend away with a water brush or a paint brush.
I stamped these images on Canson Watercolor Paper ( ELH | SSS | AMZ ) with Archival Jet Black Ink ( ELH | AMZ | SSS ). This is my favorite black ink for watercoloring techniques since it doesn’t smear or smudge. It’s a little bit trickier to stamp on textured card stock so make sure to use a MISTI tool ( ELH | AMZ | SSS ) for easy stamping or anything else that works for you! 🙂
For the watercolored background, I used Tumbled Glass ( ELH | AMZ | SSS ), Peacock Feathers ( ELH | SSS | AMZ ) and Cracked Pistachio ( ELH | SSS | AMZ ) for some pops of mint here and there. I also added some water splatters with a Ranger Mister Tool. It’s a fun way to add an extra oomph to a watercolored background.
That’s it for now! Make sure to check out the Winnie & Walter blog for a bunch of inspiration featuring all of the new sets. You’ll be amazed! Thanks for stopping by! See you soon. Xo.
