Happy Saturday, everybody! Today I’m part of Heffy Doodle‘s first ever Blog Hop in honor to celebrate their launch. Some of you might not have heard about Heffy Doodle just yet! That’s because they’re a brand new stamp company by Lesley Oman. You can support Heffy Doodle by donating via their Kickstarter Campaign! The more money you pledge, the more stamps you’ll receive! 🙂
For Heffy Doodle‘s first release, they have 4 stamp sets with 4 coordinating die sets and a very special 5th stamp set for all of you interactive card makers. Each of the 4 animal stamp sets has been designed to work on their own or together as part of the full collection. Each set contains 3 cute animals, a range of accessories for them and a versatile set of sentiments. There are also coordinating dies available for each animal set! Some of the dies even have internal cuts which allow you to tuck accessories into the hands of your stamped animals.
For my video, I decided to showcase Happy Snappy Crocs and make an ombré sequin shaker card with Distress Inks. Isn’t that stamp set simply adorable?
This card was a lot of fun to make! It’s been a while since I made a shaker card with Fun Foam ( AMZ | SSS ) and Lifestyle Crafts Acetate ( SSS ). Making shakers with the Fuse tool is definitely easier and faster but shakers made with foam and acetate shake better! That’s just my personal opinion, of course!
I colored the images from Heffy Doodle Happy Snappy Crocs ( Heffy Doodle ) with Copic Markers. I’m *still* learning to master these markers. It’s just not that easy! I’m always in awe of people who make the most gorgeous art with Copic Markers. I think I just have to play around a bit more and see what works best for me.
I created an ombré shaker card with Distress Inks. I used three shades of yellow: Squeezed Lemonade Mini Distress Ink ( ELH | AMZ | SSS ), Mustard Seed Mini Distress Ink ( ELH | AMZ | SSS ) and Fossilized Amber Mini Distress Ink ( ELH | AMZ | SSS ) To fill up my shaker. To fill up my shaker I used matching sequins. This time I used the Belle’s Dress Couture Mix from The Ton. They just have the best mixes out there! By the way, did you notice my new backdrop?! I love it! It’s the Marble design by The Ton. They have plenty of beautiful designs so go and check them out!
Time for a giveaway! You can leave a comment at each stop along the way for a chance to win a Heffy Doodle cotton tote bag and a set of 12 Distress Oxided! Comments must be left by 12 noon BST on July 20th and the winner will be announced shortly after on the 22nd of July on the Heffy Doodle Blog. Entries are open worldwide. Good luck! 🙂
Lots of crafters have joined this blog hop to bring you a bunch of inspiration using these sets! The next stop on the hop is Alicia’s blog! Happy hopping!
