Happy Sunday, friends. 💛 On Friday I celebrated my 21st birthday and now I’m enjoying a week off school before kicking off my internship at kindergarten. Last week I got to meet the kids and they’re all such sweethearts. I can’t wait to teach them new things!
Since I have some time off, I finally got around to making a card with the Honey Bunny Boo set from Heffy Doodle. Fun fact: I thought this set was named Honey Boo Boo. 😂 Sometimes I read too fast. I paired up this stamp set with hexagon dies and bright patterned paper.
Make sure to watch the video tutorial below. Check the supply list at the end of this blog post for links to all the products I used to make this card.
I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto white card stock before coloring them with Copic markers. I used bright pink, yellow and green colors. I’m thinking about expanding my Copic marker collection a bit so I’m doing lots of research.
Using patterned paper can be tricky for me, but when I have the right dies it’s easy peasy lemon squeezy. 🍋 I used the Sorbet Collection paper pad from Avery Elle along with the Josephine dies from Winnie & Walter. By the way, I die cut the medium sized hexagon shape both out of white card stock as well as the patterned paper.
Finally, I put all the pieces together with my new favorite glue and foam squares. Oh and I also added some finishing shimmer with the Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Sparkle Pen and a coat of Clear Glaze from Tonic.
That’s it for now. Thanks again for stopping by. I’ll see you soon. Big hugs. 💛
