Hi, crafty friends! Sorry I’ve been MIA lately. But guess what? On Tuesday, I’ll be finishing up my 9-week internship at kindergarten. I’ve had so much fun and I’m sad to say goodbye to the kids, but I’m looking forward to graduating in June and more crafty time this Summer Break. 💛
While my internship has been keeping me busy, I’ve had the chance to check social media now and then. I’m always on the hunt for new product that makes me happy so when I saw Hello Bluebird’s feed pop up, I was giddy. Talk about cuteness overload. 😍 I picked out a few stamps for upcoming blog posts and video tutorials.
For this card, I mixed and matched different designs. I used McGregor’s Garden and Springtime to create a cute Spring themed scene. I also created my own patterned paper with the Country Gingham Background.
I started by stamping a flower from the Springtime stamp from Hello Bluebird. Then I used masking paper and slowly built up the scene. When masking, remember you want to stamp the images you want to be at the front first and take your time to fussy cut the paper. It’s quite therapeutic. 🙃 I combined the Springtime set with McGregor’s Garden. I love how these stamps can be mixed and matched!
After coloring my masked Spring-themed scene, I created my own patterned paper with the Country Gingham Background stamp from Hello Bluebird. I simply heat embossed the pattern with Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder from WOW and added color with Distress Oxide in Squeezed Lemonade. These inks blend like butter!
That’s it for now! I’ll be back soon. Big hugs. 💌
