Sparkly Tropical Background + Fixing A Card Mistake!

Hello, crafty friends! Today I’m here with a tropical and sparkly card featuring the new UnbeLEAFable stencil from Heffy Doodle.

I used the UnbeLEAFable stencil from Heffy Doodle to make a sparkly tropical background. First I used Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink to add a first layer of color. Next, I added dimension and sparkle with a coat of Moonstone Glimmer Paste from Tonic. I love how sparkly and dimensional this background turned out. 💛 A while ago, I did a similar technique. You can check out that video by clicking HERE.

Remember the Honey Bunny Boo set from Heffy Doodle I used for Easter and springtime cards? I wanted to break out that set again and use it for a non-Easter card. I simply switched up the sentiment using Heffy Doodle’s new Everyday Sentiment Duos stamp set.

Then, I adhered everything together on an ink blended frame. However, I wasn’t really sure if I liked it or not. To me it made the card feel too much like an Easter card and I was trying to avoid that since I was already using an Easter-ish stamp set. So I simply die cut the frame once more, trimmed it down and adhered it on top of the ink blended frame. Nobody will ever notice. 😄 Finally, I finished off my card with a coat of Tonic Crystal Glaze and a couple of Nuvo Drops. 💫

That’s it for today. Thanks for stopping by. Big hugs. 💕
