Stamped Floral Background + Vellum Frame

Hello, friends! πŸ’› Happy New Year! I wish you all the best in 2019: lots of happiness and love, a good health and anything else your heart desires!

Today I’m finally back with a new card and video. I decided to keep it fresh and colorful by stamping a colorful background using the Shirley’s Bloom stamp set from Winnie & Walter.

Using my MISTI, I stamped a floral background with the Shirley’s Bloom stamp set from Winnie & Walter. I used ink pads from various brands. I don’t have a favorite since all of these are quality dye ink pads and stamp smoothly. πŸ˜„

Next, I die cut the ‘hooray’ word from the In a Word: Birthday Tiles die cut set from Winnie & Walter. I used Gold Dust glitter card stock from Tonic and added dimension with Fun Foam.

For the frame, I used the die cut three times. I die cut it twice out of French Mints card stock from Bazzill and once out of Fun Foam. I cut a piece of vellum to the same size of the frame so it would match perfectly. Finally, I used Dandelion Yellow Crystal Drops from Tonic to add an extra pop of color.

That’s it for now. Thanks for stopping by. πŸ’Œ

  1. Great card, Laura. I love the look of the framed velum, so polished looking.
And the fact that you said you used several brands of ink, they all stamp nicely. A good followup after your wise recommendation of The Frugal Crafters you-tube post about buying sooo much.

Thanks, Leslie! Exactly! Usually I would only stick to ink pads from the same company and don’t mix up different brands. This time I decided not to worry about that. I like all of these inks so why shouldn’t I combine them? πŸ™‚ Have a lovely day!

  2. Beautiful card Laura. Happy 2019 to you as well. I wish you the best in everything.
