Hey crafty friends! This month I am the Designer in the Spotlight at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog. Yay! πŸ˜„

Are you ready for a new challenge? I sure am! This week’s challenge is Cute. I decided to create a card using the Simon Says Stamp Dog & Cat Dress Up Stamp Set from their brand new Fresh Bloom Collection. Since I don’t own the dies of this stamp set, I decided to get creative with some masking, ink blending AND stenciling! πŸ’›

Make sure to watch the video below to see how I made this cute card.

First, I used Simon Says Stamp Masking Paper Sheets and a circle die from Lawn Fawn to create my mask. Then, I created an ombrΓ© effect with the Squeezed Lemonade and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Inks. I love how smooth and easy it is to create blended backgrounds with these ink pads.

I grabbed the Falling Stars Stencil from Simon Says Stamp and created green stars with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Ink. Afterwards, I added sparkle using Tonic Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste.

Since I didn’t have the dies of the Simon Says Stamp Dog & Cat Dress Up Stamp Set, I had to get creative with masking paper. I stamped the bow tie and party hat first, covered it up with masking paper and then stamped the dog. When masking, always stamp the images you want on the front first.

After coloring the images, I finished up the card with a bit of sparkle here and there. Like always, I used a Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Pen and a coat of Tonic Nuvo Crystal Glaze. Finally, I adhered Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins using the Tonic Nuvo Smooth Precision Glue Pen. πŸ˜„

Hi crafty friends! This month I am the Designer in the Spotlight at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog. Yay! πŸ˜„

Are you ready for a new challenge? I sure am! This week’s challenge is Whatever the Weather. I decided to create a cute ballerina card inspired by the sunny weather. For this card, I used the Tiny Dancers and Background Basics Stamp Sets from Sunny Studio. β˜€οΈ

Make sure to watch the video below to see how I made this cute ballerina card!

First, I die cut a circle out of Neenah Solar White and Simon Says Stamp Masking Paper Sheets. Then, I created my masks and ink blended the grass (Mowed Lawn) and sky (Tumbled Glass). For the polkadots I used the Background Basics Stamp Set and WOW! Clear Gloss Embossing Powder.

First, I stamped and colored a few images from the Butterfly Kisses Stamp Set from Lawn Fawn. I stamped all of the images at once with the MISTI.

Next, I created the slider piece for the card with the Stitched Rectangles, Grassy Border and Slide on Over Die Cut Sets from Lawn Fawn. I used the Perfectly Plaid Spring Paper Pad from Lawn Fawn. However, it’s discontinued. πŸ˜” So sad since I love the patterns and colors in this paper pad.

Hi friends! Back in 2014 I was a Design Team Member for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog. Unfortunately, I had to step down from the team because I had a hard time combining card making with school. So when dear Lols invited me to be their Designer in the Spotlight for March 2019, I said YES! πŸ˜„

Are you ready for a new challenge? I sure am! This week’s challenge is Create a Scene. I decided to create a unicorn shaker card with the Magical Unicorns Stamp Set from My Favorite Things.

Make sure to watch the video below to see how I made this adorable sequin shaker!

First, I created my own patterned paper with the Scattered Hearts Background Stamp from My Favorite Things. I stamped it with my WOW Embossing Pad and sprinkled on Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder. After heat setting the embossing powder, I applied color using Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink.

Next, I stamped and colored a few images from the Magical Unicorns Stamp Set from MFT. I used these images to build my shaker. The sequin shaker was assembled together with a piece of acetate and Fun Foam. I like to use Fun Foam and liquid adhesive to create shakers since there are no sticky edges. This time I doubled up the foam in order to give the sequins enough room to SHAKE!

Finally, I added sparkle and gloss with a Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Sparkle Pen and a coat of Tonic Nuvo Crystal Glaze. I simply adore the shimmer! 😍
