Hey stampers! It’s Laura here and I’m sharing another Saturday Stamp Day card and video. In today’s video, I’m showing you how to create three quick and easy cards using one of the hottest products right now… FOIL!

First, I picked out stamps from the Sparkle and Shine stamp set from Neat and Tangled and from the The Big, The Bold and Fun stamp set from Winnie & Walter. I mounted these stamps on my MISTI so I could easily stamp these on multiple card bases. I used Versamark ink and then I sprinkled them using a fabulous product called Bonding Powder from Wow! Embossing Powder. This is a sticky embossing powder to add foil to cards. After heat setting the embossing powder, I used foil from Heidi Swapp and Wow! Embossing Powder to create a gorgeous foiled effect.

I also wanted to create a foiled card. This was a bit trickier than I thought it would be. For the silver base, I used a new product called Stick It and some Heidi Swapp foil. It’s an easy and fast way, but the downside is that the result isn’t perfect. Since I wasn’t really satisfied, I ended up using card stock with a foiled look to it. It’s faster and it looks so pretty!

Before I go, I wanted to let you know that I am taking a break from card making/ video making and blogging for a while. There are two reasons for that. The first one is that I don’t have a lot of spare time since I am busy for school again. Second reason is that I am not enjoying card making as much as I did a while ago unfortunately. I think that’s because I only have a small amount of time to create cards nowadays. So whenever I have that small amount of time free, I get stressed out and I don’t know what to create. That’s why I decided to take a break from card making. I don’t know for how long yet, but I will try to pop in now and then to give you an update.

I really hope to be back soon…. THANK YOU so much for all of your support and sweet comments the past couple of months. You are the best and I love you all. XO

Hello everyone!

I’m popping in to announce the winner of the Stretch Your Dies giveaway. 🙂 The winner is: Magaly. Congratulations! I emailed you. Thank you everyone for entering this giveaway. I’ll see you all in class very soon!

I’ll be back on Saturday with a new Saturday Stamp Day video. Big hugs,

Hello! Today, I wasn’t able to film a Saturday Stamp Day video. So I decided to make it up to you by doing a giveaway. 🙂

I love die cutting—and I’m always looking for new ways to use my die-cutting machine and dies to make cards. The girls at Online Card Classes felt the same way! Their new class, Stretch Your Dies, is all about discovering new, cool ways to use dies for card making. It’s based on the same concept as their popular Stretch Your Stamps class—each day the class will focus on a different kind of die, so it’ll be easy to find a die or two in your stash to follow along with. The class will have 20+ videos! For more information, visit Online Card Classes.

I’m thrilled to announce that I’m one of the guest artists (YAY!) for Stretch Your Dies! But even better… one of you will get to attend! Just leave a comment on this post by Wednesday, March 11 at 11:59 P.M. est to be eligible. Class starts on Monday, March 16, 2015. I can’t wait! And I hope to see you there!

I hope to be back sharing a new card with you very soon! Be sure to follow me on social media for updates. I have social media buttons underneath my picture in my sidebar. 🙂

Hello everyone! In today’s blog post I will be sharing a couple of peeks of my planner and I’m also linking to  goodies of the new Simon Says Stamp Release called Plan On It.

Let me talk a bit about the new Simon Says Stamp Release first. 🙂 This release features new stamp sets that are perfect for planners, dies and brand new ink cubes in cute colors. These ink cubes feature a brand new hybrid formula of ink. Hybrid inks are pigment based, but dry quickly like dye inks and won’t bleed through thin papers often found in planners.

This planner release comes with three new stamp sets. The “Planning Ahead” stamp set was designed by Waffle Flower, the “Plan on it” stamp set was designed by “Studio L2E” and Shari from SSS designed the “Life Planning” stamp set. I am personally not a fan of stamping in your planner, but there are a lot of people out there who do like to do this so I thought I’d share the links to these stamps anyway. 🙂

I do like the these new stamp sets for their little details such as the little television, the clothing hangers, etc. I will be using those tiny stamps in my planner. As you can see, I just stamped the little television icon and wrote “movie night” next to it since I prefer to write in my planner. 🙂 By the way, I used the new Life Planning stamp set for that.

I don’t have an Erin Condren, Filofax or Kikki K. planner. Instead, I use a cheap one that I purchased at one of my favorite shops… Hema. 🙂 This planner was €12 (about $10) which isn’t expensive at all! It works perfectly for me since there are lots of lines to write on, and there are extra storage pockets in there that I use to store stickers and sticky notes.

Phew, that’s it for now! 🙂 Just a little heads up: due to lots of school work, I won’t be able to upload a Saturday Stamp Day card and video tomorrow. I’m so sorry about that! Big hugs! Thanks for visiting.
