Happy Saturday and welcome to the Crafty Be’s blog hop. I teamed up with fellow Belgian card makers to bring you a fun blog hop filled with inspiration and giveaways. Be sure to keep on reading until the very end of this post to catch the details about the giveaways. 🙂

In my video, I am creating two cards with the same supplies and design. However, I switched up the colors for both projects! This card could be easily mass produced since creating sequin shakers with the FUSE is quick and easy!

I started out by die cutting two white bases using the Noelle Cutaways from Winnie & Walter. I simply love that die cut set! It’s a really versatile die cut set that comes with many shapes. These shapes are perfect for holiday cards but of course you could use them all year round! 🙂

Not too long ago, a fellow Belgian crafter launched her own stamp company. She designs stamp sets that come with Dutch greetings (perfect for me to send out to family!) and adorable images. The stamps are made in the UK and they’re great quality. If you don’t speak Dutch, you could still use the sets for the cute images! If you do speak Dutch, I highly recommend checking out Els’ shop because her stamps are DA BOMB! 😉 I used the Welkom Baby stamp set along with the Warme Wensen set.

By the way, the greeting: “Warme wensen” means “Warm wishes” in Dutch. I heat embossed the greeting using some pretty embossing powders from WOW. For the pool colored card, I used Long Island Teal embossing powder. Oh my! This color is heavenly! It’s the perfect aqua color with just the perfect amount of gold glitter! For the purple sentiment, I used Mulberry Mist embossing powder.

I colored the penguin using the ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Markers. These markers work great and they make blending so easy! I created sequin shakers for both designs using the FUSE tool. I simply love the FUSE tool and I can’t tell you enough how easy this tool is for creating shakers. I filled up both shakers with some gorgeous sequins from The Ton.

Happy Saturday, friends! I’m sitting here with a big cold – yuck, but there’s something really fun happening today which makes me feel better! A fellow Belgian crafter, Els Brigé, launched her own stamp company called Els Brigé Designs. She released four stamp sets with Dutch sentiments and adorable images. I am thrilled to finally have some pretty Dutch sentiments! That way I can send more cards to my Belgian friends and family.

In today’s Saturday Stamp Day video, I am featuring the brand new Welkom Baby (this means “welcome baby”) stamp set from Els Brigé. The sentiment I used means: “Congratulations on your little miracle.”. Isn’t that sentiment perfect for new parents?

ssd_penguinI started out by stamping the baby sentiment on some pool card stock using Lake Shores ink from Simon Says Stamp for some tone on tone stamping. I absolutely love the font of these sentiments! Els did such a great job designing these stamps. After I stamped the main piece of the card, I die cut a circle to create a sequin shaker. I decided to create another sequin shaker because I love to use the Fuse tool and because you love my shakers, so that makes me very happy! 🙂

ssd_close_upI created my sequin shaker using the Fuse tool from We R Memory Keepers and I also used the Laura’s Dreamy Blues sequin mix from The Ton. This is the mix that I put together! When I was putting together the mix, I was thinking about the beach and the ocean. However, you could use this mix for baby cards, Christmas cards or just everyday cards! Of course this card needed an extra sentiment so I stamped the greeting, which means “Congratulations on your little miracle.”, with some Versamark ink on vellum. Finally, I embossed the greeting with white embossing powder.

That’s it for today! Be sure to check out the Els Brigé Designs blog for more inspiration using these new products. Big congrats, Els! I am over the moon excited for you!
