Hey, friends! Have you heard the news? Winnie & Walter have organized another Share the Love Week filled with challenges and giveaways! For this edition, we are featuring Essentials by Ellen products. Today I am participating in the Transparent Challenge. You can enter this challenge by clicking HERE. Lots of prizes are up for grabs! You can read more about that at the bottom of this blog post.

In today’s video, I am creating a colorful card with the LS Exclusives: So Tweet with Evelin T Designs stamp set along with the Kindness with Evelin T Designs stamp set from Winnie & Walter.

I started out by creating the focal point of my card. I die cut a tag with the Katharine Cutaways from Winnie & Walter. After stamping and masking my images from the LS Exclusives: So Tweet with Evelin T Designs stamp set from Winnie & Walter, I colored them with Copic markers.

sharetheloveweek-laura-full-cardNext, I used the Brushstroke Wonderful die to create a lovely sentiment piece for this card. I die cut it once out of glitter paper and then I die cut it once more out of some white Fun Foam. I finished off the sentiment by stamping “you are” with the Totally Awesome set from Essentials by Ellen.

closeupI thought the card looked a bit plain, so I used the Bokeh Dots set to stamp a colorful background. I also adhered a couple of clear sequins here and there to add a bit more interest. Since this is the Transparant challenge, I obviously needed to add something transparent. I grabbed a piece of vellum and adhered it to a standard size notecard. I also adhered a strip of patterned paper from Pinkfresh Studio. Finally, I felt like the card was missing something so I used that little reinforcement die with some washi tape to add more interest to the tag.

Happy Saturday, everybody! I am so happy to be here again with a new Saturday Stamp Day video. Sometimes, when I don’t feel inspired to make a card, I say to myself: “What would (insert a crafter that inspires me) do?” This time I was wondering what my talented and dear crafty friend Julia would do. Whenever I think about Julia’s creations, I immediately think of her bright colored cards. She likes to use rainbow colors quite often, so that inspired me to do some rainbow coloring, too!

A while ago, I purchased some of the sets from the Winter 2016 Release by Essentials by Ellen. These fun and quirky stamps and dies are designed by the amazingly talented Julie Ebersole. In this video, I am featuring their All Inside and their Up the Happy set to create a bright and happy card!

ssd-eh-fullI stamped and masked off the butterfly stamp from the Up the Happy set multiple times. Then, I went ahead and used my Copic markers to give them a pop of color. My Copic coloring is far from perfect but in the video I share some tips that work best for me. As I mentioned in the video, I didn’t show all of the coloring. I included a guide/list of all the colors that I used for each butterfly. I hope you find that somehow helpful! 🙂

SSD-EH-closeupNext, I grabbed the All Inside die cut set and I die cut that adorable bear. After stamping the coordinating stamp, I colored the bear using some light gray Copic markers. Felt is so hot in the card making world right now! It’s becoming a big trend real fast so I decided to use some felt on this project. I had some leftover felt that I used to die cut a heart and I tucked it in the bear’s hands. This was easy since the die is made that way. So cute! Finally, I used some Wink of Stella, Glossy Accents and some sequins to finish off the card.

Here is a list of the Copic markers I used for each butterfly and for the letters of the sentiment (all of these markers are linked in the supply list below):

  • Red butterfly: R22, R24, R29
  • Soft pink butterfly + letter H: RV0000, RV11, RV13
  • Hot pink butterfly + letter E: RV02, RV06, RV09
  • Yellow butterfly + letter Y: Y13, Y19
  • Orange butterfly + exclamation mark: YR15, YR18
  • Green butterfly: YG23, YG67
  • Aqua butterfly: BG11, BG13
  • Blue butterfly: BG02, BG07, BG09
  • Plum butterfly: BV02, BV04
  • Lilac butterfly: V01, V05

Happy Thursday, everybody! I am so glad to be finally sharing another video with you. It has been a long time since I made a card and a video so it felt good being in the craft room again. I’ve been busy for school. Exams are starting on Monday so I’ve been studying a lot. Anyway, today I am here with a new project for Ready, Set, Stamp with LLC. Yay! 🙂

This month, my two friends Laurel and Catherine and I are showcasing the following products by Ellen Hutson: Bokeh Dots stamp set, Wild Garden dies and Zipper Panel dies.

I started out by stamping a polkadot background using the Bokeh Dots stamp set along with a circle patterned stencil. I used the stencil as a guide which made the stamping easier and faster. Next, I die cut one of the flowers using the Wild Garden dies. Since this is a very intricate die, I used the Precision Base Plate by Sizzix. This works really well when using wafter thin dies! I die cut the flower once more using Bristol paper. I put a dryer sheet under the paper. That way all of the pieces will stay put in that dryer sheet. This makes it easier to color those petals.

I colored the petals from the flowers using ZIG Real Color Brush Markers (Light Pink and Lemon Yellow). Using only two colors, I achieved a lovely gradient. My favorite brush to use with these markers, is the Pentel Aquash Brush. If you don’t have this brush, a regular paint brush would work as well. 🙂 For this card, I used the inlaid die cutting technique. This is a fun and simple technique that creates a “how did they do that” effect.

For the sentiment, I used the Zipper Panel dies from Ellen Hutson. I die cut the word die multiple times so I could create a thick and dimensional greeting. I adhered each layer using the Quickie Glue Pen. Even though this is nice adhesive, I ended up adhering the finished piece using Glossy Accents since this is a strong glue. Finally, I embellished my project with sequins and enamel dots. 🙂

Today’s video is part of Ready, Set, Stamp with LLC. This video series is a collaboration between me and my two friends Laurel Beard and Catherine Pooler. Each month we’re featuring a specific company and its products. The best part is that you’ll get three videos in total showcasing the same products AND there’s a giveaway, too!

On to the giveaway! Would you like to win a $25 gift card to Ellen Hutson? Simply leave comments on the three videos. Comments must be left by January 14th at 11:59 pm EST. There will be 3 winners!
