Hi, friends! Today I’m sharing an easy and cute Christmas card with a traditional twist and the Oh Kitty Tree Stamp Set from Mama Elephant. I’m also featuring some Dutch die cuts from CarlijnDesign.

Make sure to watch the video below for tips and tricks and a lesson of Dutch. 😜

First, I stamped and colored images from the Oh Kitty Tree Stamp Set from Mama Elephant. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images. Next, I die cut the Christmas Trees from the Kerstbomen Versieren (translation: decorating Christmas trees) Die Cut Set from CarlijnDesign. I colored the trees with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Ink.

After decorating the Christmas trees, I created a beautiful Distress Oxide blend using Candied Apple, Abandoned Coral and Picked Raspberry. I decided to add some sparkle using Lawn Fawn Liquid Stardust. Turns out it wasn’t that easy, lol. Watch the video to see what I’m talking about. 😄

For my sentiment, I decided to be a little patriotic and use a Dutch sentiment. The sentiment says: ‘Fijne feestdagen’ and means ‘Happy holidays’.

That’s it for now! Thanks for stopping by. I’ll see you soon. ❤️

Good morning, friends! Today I’m part of a video hop hosted by Maaike Uijthoven. She’s celebrating 3000 YouTube Subscribers and put together a fun video hop filled with inspiration from talented designers and giveaways. Yay! For more information on the giveaways and video hoppers, keep on reading.

For this card, I decided to work with the Stackable Cuties Set from Mama Elephant. When I ordered this stamp set, I simply couldn’t wait to color these critters.

Rainbow Background + Mama Elephant Stackable Cuties

First, I created a rainbow background with Distress Oxide Ink Pads. Creating an ombré or gradient has never been easier. These ink pads are such a joy to work with. In the video I share some tips and tricks on how to create an effortless blend. When I finished ink blending, I added some water splatters for a fun milky effect.

After coloring the cute animals, I die cut them with the coordinating dies. Next, I stamped two of the speech bubbles on the card in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and heat embossed over that with WOW! Neutral Ultra Shimmer Embossing Powder. To finish off this card, I added sparkle and shine to this card with a Spectrum Noir Shimmer Pen and a coat of Nuvo Crystal Glaze. Finally, I applied a few Nuvo Glitter Drops in White Blizzard. 💛

Hey crafty friends! Today is my last blog post and video as a Designer in the Spotlight at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog. Yay! 😄

Are you ready for a new challenge? I sure am! This week’s challenge is Anything Goes. Easy! 😄 I decided to create a card using the Birthday Bash Stamp Set from Mama Elephant. I decided to create a long, super sparkly shaker card! 💛

Make sure to watch the video below to see how I made this cute card.

When I started making this card, I honestly didn’t know what I was doing because I’ve never made a shaker using the stamp(s) as well as the coordinating die(s). 😳 So, I had to experiment a little bit and just went with it. However, I had so much fun making this card! And guess what? Jennifer McGuire recently did a video on how to make Stamped Shaker Cards. Oh, if I only knew that before I filmed my video. 😅 It could have saved me a lot of time.

Long Shaker Card Feat. Mama Elephant The Birthday Bash

First, I stamped the big image from The Birthday Bash Stamp Set from Mama Elephant with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Neenah 110 lb Solar White Card Stock. This might be one of my favorite stamp sets EVER! 😍 Look at those adorable critters. So much cuteness. I colored the entire image with Copic Sketch Markers.

Then, I took a piece of white card stock and cut it to 9″ x 3,5″. I used the coordinating die from The Birthday Bash Set to cut out my shaker window. Of course I had to add some color so I grabbed Spun Sugar Oxide Ink, did some ink blending and added a few water splatters here and there.

Next, it was time to create the actual shaker! The easiest way to do this is to die cut your shaker shape twice out of Fun Foam. This way, the sequins will have plenty of room to shake around. I adhered both layers on top of each other with Tonic Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive and a Tonic Nuvo Smooth Precision Glue Pen.

I filled up the shaker with some clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and Tonic Studios. I also used some super fun confetti sequins from Lucy’s Cards. Finally, I heat embossed a sentiment banner using Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder from WOW and added color to it with Spun Sugar Oxide Ink. 💕

Thanks so much for stopping by. Big hugs!

Hi, there! Sorry for being so inactive lately. 😔 As you all know, I struggled a bit the last couple of weeks so I took a break from card making and focussed on myself. Thankfully, I’m doing much better now. My mojo has returned and I’m having lots of fun again in my craft room. Sadly enough, I still don’t have a full-time job as a kindergarten teacher. However, I did replace a couple of sick teachers in the school where I did my internships during my studies. It was so much fun to reunite with the colleagues and kids. 💛 Let’s hope I can teach there full-time one day.

Back to card making now! Last week I ordered the Oh Kitty Tree set from Mama Elephant. In my opinion, this is the perfect stamp set for any cat lover! 😺 But it’s also a great stamp set for those who want to practice their coloring. In my video, I’m sharing some tips and tricks including how to fix ‘mistakes’.

Make sure to watch the video below and subscribe to my YouTube Channel.

I started out by stamping the large image from the Oh Kitty Tree stamp set from Mama Elephant on white card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I used Copic Sketch Markers to color all of these cats. I added stripes and spots with the darkest marker of each shade to make every cat unique. Aren’t they adorable? My favorite cat is the one on the bottom right wearing the scarf.

After die cutting the image, I wanted to switch up my color scheme a little bit. So I fixed the turquoise and some of the yellow. I simply colored on top of those colors with red and green markers. Make sure to take a color that’s darker than the original shade so nobody will ever notice!

Next, I created a gradient background with Festive Berries, Abandoned Coral and Picked Raspberry. These colors work beautifully together and create a nice blend. ❤️ I also heat embossed a sentiment from the Oh Kitty Tree set with Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder from Wow. Finally, I added sparkle with a Clear Sparkle Pen from Spectrum Noir, a coat of Tonic Nuvo Crystal Glaze and a few Tonic Nuvo Drops here and there. ✨

That’s it for now! Thank you so much for stopping by. I’ll be back soon. Sending big crafty hugs to all of you. Xo 💕
