Hi, there! Sorry for being so inactive lately. 😔 As you all know, I struggled a bit the last couple of weeks so I took a break from card making and focussed on myself. Thankfully, I’m doing much better now. My mojo has returned and I’m having lots of fun again in my craft room. Sadly enough, I still don’t have a full-time job as a kindergarten teacher. However, I did replace a couple of sick teachers in the school where I did my internships during my studies. It was so much fun to reunite with the colleagues and kids. 💛 Let’s hope I can teach there full-time one day.

Back to card making now! Last week I ordered the Oh Kitty Tree set from Mama Elephant. In my opinion, this is the perfect stamp set for any cat lover! 😺 But it’s also a great stamp set for those who want to practice their coloring. In my video, I’m sharing some tips and tricks including how to fix ‘mistakes’.

Make sure to watch the video below and subscribe to my YouTube Channel.

I started out by stamping the large image from the Oh Kitty Tree stamp set from Mama Elephant on white card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I used Copic Sketch Markers to color all of these cats. I added stripes and spots with the darkest marker of each shade to make every cat unique. Aren’t they adorable? My favorite cat is the one on the bottom right wearing the scarf.

After die cutting the image, I wanted to switch up my color scheme a little bit. So I fixed the turquoise and some of the yellow. I simply colored on top of those colors with red and green markers. Make sure to take a color that’s darker than the original shade so nobody will ever notice!

Next, I created a gradient background with Festive Berries, Abandoned Coral and Picked Raspberry. These colors work beautifully together and create a nice blend. ❤️ I also heat embossed a sentiment from the Oh Kitty Tree set with Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder from Wow. Finally, I added sparkle with a Clear Sparkle Pen from Spectrum Noir, a coat of Tonic Nuvo Crystal Glaze and a few Tonic Nuvo Drops here and there. ✨

That’s it for now! Thank you so much for stopping by. I’ll be back soon. Sending big crafty hugs to all of you. Xo 💕

Hi, friends! It’s been a while since I’ve shared a card but I’m happy to be back with a quick and easy Christmas card for Taheerah’s Advent Calendar Extravaganza! Join in the fun every day at taheerah-atchia.com to see what special surprises await behind the door!

For my project, I used the Wooly Winter set from Mama Elephant with a stencil, embossing paste and glitter (eek!!!!). This is the perfect combo for a quick and easy holiday card.

I started out by stamping these wooly critters with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on my favorite white card stock. Next, I die cut the sheep with the coordinating dies. I couldn’t find a right sentiment to match with the Wooly Friends set, but then I grabbed the Winter Wonderland set from Winnie & Walter. I simply love the font of that greeting! I stamped it with the Wow! Ultra Slow Drying Embossing ink pad and sprinkled on the Metallic Gold Rich Sparkle powder. The sparkle you get with this embossing powder is gorgeous!

Since I was short on time (I’m always keeping busy, lots of stuff to do for college!) I wanted to create a clean and simple card but I still wanted to add some more holiday sparkle to this project. I simply grabbed a stencil from Winnie & Walter and covered my sentiment with painter’s tape. Then, I used white Wendy Vecchi Embossing Paste to create fun snow. I really like how fluffy the snow looks like! I thought it needed an extra oomph so I went ahead and sprinkled on some Rock Candy Glitter from Tim Holtz. Seriously, glitter was everywhere! EVERYWHERE! In my eyes, on my clothes, on the floor! I had to vacuum the whole room after working with this stuff, lol. Thankfully the embossing paste makes sure that the glitter sticks and stays put.

Finally, I finished off my project with some sparkle and shine. I adhered a couple of Pretty Pink Posh sequins (today’s sponsor of the Advent Calendar Extravaganza) and added a coat of Glossy Accents to some of the images.

It’s not a party without a prize – and with prizes every day there are several chances to win! Today’s prize is generously supplied by Pretty Pink Posh so you’ll definitely want to win! Simply leave a comment on this post – then head back to taheerah-atchia.com and leave a comment there too! You must leave a comment on Taheerah’s blog as well as mine in order to be eligible to win! Don’t forget to grab the other surprise destinations from Taheerah’s blog and head over to them to leave comments there as well to improve your odds even more! You have until 23:59 EST on 31st December 2016 to enter.

That’s it for now! Thank you for your support, sweet emails and cards. I love reading your sweet messages and they always make me *so* happy. Sending big hugs and enjoy the holiday season!

Happy Saturday, everyone! How are you doing? Do you have any fun plans planned for the weekend? It’s been super hot here the past couple of days, so I’m just planning on staying inside. Seriously, even making this card made me sweat. Don’t you just hate that kind of weather?

Anyway, let’s move on to my card and video. In this week’s Saturday Stamp Day video, I’m making a playful wreath card with the Playful Pups set from Mama Elephant. I challenged myself by making a wreath card without using any flowers! It was harder than you’d expect, but the Playful Pups set was screaming my name so in the end it was really fun. 🙂

IMG_1442I started out by coloring the pup, the bowl of food and the bones with Copic markers. My coloring technique is very easy. I use my darkest color first to add my first layer of shading. Don’t be afraid to add this color first! You can easily blend it out with the lightest color. After highlighting my image with the lightest color, I like to go back to my dark color to add extra pops of shading here and there.

IMG_1448I made a playful wreath with the tiny stamps from this set. I die cut a circle out of some white paper and used that as a guide. This makes the process easier and faster. For my sentiment, I created a fun banner. Since I wanted the color to match with the other images I already had, I scribbled the R43 Copic marker to the white card stock. After making sure that this ink was completely dry, I heat embossed a sentiment with the WOW Ultra Slow Drying Pad and their Opaque Bright White embossing powder. To finish off the card, I adhered some sequins from the Fruity Sorbet mix from Lucy’s Cards and some Glass Slippers sequins from The Ton.

That’s it for now! Thanks so much for watching my video and for reading today’s post. See you soon. 🙂 xo

Happy Saturday! My first week at college was great! I’ve met some really nice people already so I’m looking forward to the upcoming three years. By the way, I just noticed I passed 8K subscribers at YouTube. Wow! It seems like yesterday I was celebrating 7K subscribers. A big thanks to all of you!

In today’s video I am using the Charmed set from Mama Elephant to create a thank you sequin shaker card.

DSC00663I started out by die cutting some images from the Charmed set by Mama Elephant. That owl is so cute and I love how detailled that wreath is. I colored all of the images using Copic markers. My Copic coloring technique is really simple! I start out with the lightest color, move on to the darkest color and blend that out with the medium toned colored. Sometimes I then go back with the lightest color, but I didn’t do that for today’s images.

DSC00669You all seem to love the Fuse tool by We R Memory Keepers in my videos. That’s why I decided to use it once more in today’s videos. In the video I’m sharing some helpful tricks when using this tool. Keep in mind when using the tool that you have to put a bit of pressure on the tool and go slowly so your lines or pocket is sealed nicely. I filled up my shaker with some coordinating colors using the Cinderella’s Ride mix from The Ton.

That’s it for now! 🙂 Thank you so much for your support. I am back tomorrow with two cards and video!
