Happy Friday! In today’s blog post I am sharing two cards and one video using the Love and a Dog, Tribal Chic Borders and Fresh Cut Roses stamp sets from The Ton. I am joining The Ton today for their Anniversary Release blog hop filled with lots of inspiration, giveaways and talented designers.

For my first card, I got creative with some masking and layered stamping using the Love and a Dog stamp set along with the Fresh Cut Roses set. I added a bold touch by stamping a border using the brand new Tribal Chic Borders set.

That little pup makes me so happy. It probably makes me that happy because it reminds me of my own dog, Jinny. She’s white, fluffy and cute (and she’s sitting on my lap while I’m typing this!). First I went ahead and masked off the image on some white card stock since I wanted a big and bold flower background behind that puppy. While that mask was on, I stamped 6 flowers using the gorgeous inks from The Ton. I used two of the bundles (Peony + Orchid) but you can also get those colors individually. For the soft purple roses, I created my own combination using the Ballet Slippers, Soft Orchid and Orchid Crush inks.

After stamping those roses, I peeled off the mask and colored the dog. Since I used the Caviar ink from The Ton, I was able to use Copic markers without any problems! Next, I stamped and colored a flower headband since that matched the backdrop perfectly. For some extra sparkle and shine, I added both Stardust Stickles and Glossy Accents. These two together are a match made in heaven. I also stamped a sentiment from the Fresh Cut Roses stamp set and some pretty hearts from the Love and a Dog set. Finally, I wanted to add a bold touch so I stamped a border from the Tribal Chic Borders set and I embellished the card with some of my beloved sequins.

For my second card, I used the same products and technique. However, I switched up the design a bit by using different colors of ink. I started out by stamping the dog on some masking paper and by cutting a curved line under the dog. After cutting that out, I adhered the mask on top of the stamped dog. Next, I stamped the flowers from the new Fresh Cut Roses set using various ink pads. Instead of using the pink and purples I used for the first card, I added a bit of yellow from the Citrine bundle and a bit or coral using the Coral bundle.

After stamping all of the flowers, I peeled off the mask and adhered a cute little pup I colored with Copic markers. For the rest of the card, I did the same like I did for the first card! Easy! 🙂

As I mentioned in my video and in the beginning of my blog post, these cards and video are part of the Anniversary Release blog hop hosted by The Ton. In total, there are 15 blog posts waiting for you packed with inspiration using some of the brand new products. I am in love with the goodies I got to use and I can’t wait to see what the other designers have come up with.

Happy Saturday! It has been a while since I uploaded a Saturday Stamp Day video so I thought I’d make it up to you by sharing three fun cards in this week’s video.

In today’s Saturday Stamp Day video, I am sharing one clean and simple design using the Holiday Bows stamp set from The Ton along with the Holiday Lyrics stamp set.

In total, I made three cards using the same stamped design. I highly recommend using the MISTI tool by My Sweet Petunia when creating multiple cards using the same design. This tool makes it easier to mass produce cards. Think about all of those quick birthday or Christmas cards you could create!

holiday_bows_blueAs you already know, I’m crazy about pastel colors. I like to use these colors for all of the cards I make so of course Christmas cards are no exception! For the soft blue bows, I used Soft Pool ink from Hero Arts first. For the second layer of the bows, I used Lake Shores ink from Simon Says Stamp. I love how dimensional the bows look even though this is just one stamped layer! Impressive! holiday_bows_2I heard that some people have trouble lining up the second layer of these bows. To be honest, it took me a while to line up the second layer. However, I found that rotating the second layer until it “fits” is the best method. If you’re not sure about how it’s going to end up, simply stamp the bows on some scrap paper. You can also check out the layering guide of these bows over HERE. For the pink bows, I used Twirling Tutu ink from SSS along with Soft Pink ink from Hero Arts.

holiday_bows_3Finally, I created a purple notecard using Thistle ink from SSS along with Soft Purple ink from Hero Arts. Since this is a holiday card, I felt like this needed some extra sparkle and shimmer. I added some sparkle to the bows using the Clear Wink of Stella glitter pen. This adds the perfect amount of shimmer to your projects! Since I am a sequin addict, I adhered matching sequins from The Ton. If you’re going to be making a ton (teehee, see what I did there?) of these cards, you could keep it simple by just adhering the round sequins.

That’s it for now! Thanks so much for your sweet comments! xo

Hello everyone! Happy World Cardmaking Day! I’m back with a brand new Saturday Stamp Day video. In today’s video I’m showing you how to create another sequin shaker card using the Fuse tool along with stamps and sequins from The Ton.

ssd-foxy-shaker-cardEven though it looks like I spent a lot of time on this card, it came together really quickly! The Fuse tool by We R Memory Keepers is absolutely brilliant if you want to create fast and easy shaker cards. I used the tool along with some We R Memory Keepers photo sleeves and sequins from The Ton to create a quick shaker.

ssd-foxy-shaker-card-close-upIt seems like I was the only one in the crafting industry without the ZIG Real Color Brush Markers. A couple of weeks ago, these babies arrived. I ordered about 12 markers and I’m absolutely loving them! I recommend using Bristol and a Pentel Aquash Brush when using these markers. It makes the coloring process so much faster and easier. 🙂

That’s it for now! Thanks so much for being here. I’ll be back soon! See you then! xo
