Happy Friday everybody! Winnie & Walter is premiering their February Release and it’s truly fabulous. Today we are showcasing lots of different sets. However, there is one set I am particularly excited about. It’s the LS Exclusives: So Tweet with Evelin T Designs stamp set. You heard that right… LS Exclusives.

I had the honor to create my own exclusive stamp set for Winnie & Walter. Being on their design team is truly a dream. Shay is the most understanding DT leader on the whole planet. When I told her I would love to design my own stamp set (even though I have zero illustrating skills!) she told me she could make that dream come true! I created a mood board with lots of pictures of cute little birds and I shared my ideas. Then, she got Evelin from Evelin T Designs to illustrate the designs. A couple of weeks later I received the draft of the stamp set and I adored it so we went for it and here it is… I am in love with the set and I hope you are, too! Be sure to keep on reading my post until the very end because there is a giveaway. 🙂

In today’s video I am showcasing the brand new LS Exclusives: So Tweet with Evelin T Designs stamp set along with the Kindness with Evelin T set.

For this project, I did a lot of masking. Simple masking is one of my favorite techniques out there because it immediately adds a lot of dimension to the project. The best thing about it is that it is very easy to do. If you don’t have masking paper, you could also use some printer paper and removable adhesive. Whatever works the best for you!

laurasterckx_w&w_feb_so_tweetI started out by stamping one of the cute birds from the So Tweet stamp set. That buddy makes me smile. Just look at his wild feathers on top of his head. He’s simply adorable. I stamped him once more on some masking paper so I could mask him off and stamp a scenery. For the fun cacti stamps, I used the brand new Kindness with Evelin T Designs stamp set by Winnie & Walter. After finishing all of the masking, I colored the images with Copic Markers.

closeupI thought this tropical and colorful scenery could use a bold sentiment. The So Tweet stamp set comes with multiple sentiment stamps but I decided to use the You’re so tweet saying. To add some extra color, I colored that heart with yellow tones and I added a coat of Glossy Accents on it for more dimension. I was inspired by peachy colors for this card so I used the Fruit Sorbet Sparkly Shaker Mix from Little Things by Lucy’s Cards. This mix is so soft and it definitely screams SPRING to me. 🙂 Finally, I adhered a strip of peachy/ pinkish woodgrain patterned paper by Create A Smile Stamps to coordinate with the sequins.

Hello, friends! It has been a while since I posted. I have been busy with college but thankfully I had some time to make some quick cards that I will be sharing with you soon. I am happy to announce that I am guest designing for Waffle Flower this month. In total, I’ll be sharing two posts.

For my first guest designer post, I used the Claire stamp set. I created a quick and easy card! Do you notice anything different? I didn’t use pastel colors. Some people were asking me to create a card with bright colors instead of the usual soft and pastel colors. 🙂

Don’t you just love that you can create a pretty and fun card using one tiny stamp set?

laura-sterckx-waffle-flower-gd-project-1I colored all of the images using Copic markers. I am all about quick and easy Copic coloring so I tend to reach out to only two markers. It’s an easy way to add some shading! This little monkey girl doesn’t come with a coordinating die. However, the Willy & Friends stamp set does come with dies for these monkeys. That die only cuts out the shape on the monkey, though. So I had to fussy cut the skirt and adhere it on there. If you don’t have the Willy & Friends die, don’t worry. Simply fussy cut the image. 🙂

waffle-flower-laura-sterckx-gd-close-upI am really proud of myself for not using soft pastel colors. Even though soft and subtle is my signature style, I still like to switch it up from time to time. I received some comments lately where people were asking me to create some bright cards. I hope this will do! 😉

That’s it for now! Be sure to check the Waffle Flower blog for more inspiration using their amazing products. See you soon and thanks for your support! I appreciate it berry much! xo

Happy Saturday! My first week at college was great! I’ve met some really nice people already so I’m looking forward to the upcoming three years. By the way, I just noticed I passed 8K subscribers at YouTube. Wow! It seems like yesterday I was celebrating 7K subscribers. A big thanks to all of you!

In today’s video I am using the Charmed set from Mama Elephant to create a thank you sequin shaker card.

DSC00663I started out by die cutting some images from the Charmed set by Mama Elephant. That owl is so cute and I love how detailled that wreath is. I colored all of the images using Copic markers. My Copic coloring technique is really simple! I start out with the lightest color, move on to the darkest color and blend that out with the medium toned colored. Sometimes I then go back with the lightest color, but I didn’t do that for today’s images.

DSC00669You all seem to love the Fuse tool by We R Memory Keepers in my videos. That’s why I decided to use it once more in today’s videos. In the video I’m sharing some helpful tricks when using this tool. Keep in mind when using the tool that you have to put a bit of pressure on the tool and go slowly so your lines or pocket is sealed nicely. I filled up my shaker with some coordinating colors using the Cinderella’s Ride mix from The Ton.

That’s it for now! 🙂 Thank you so much for your support. I am back tomorrow with two cards and video!
