Happy Saturday, everybody! It’s been months I think since I uploaded a Saturday Stamp Day. Eek! Where did the time go? So, here I am! On Thursday, I shared a link to the adorable I’m A Puffer For You set from Hero Arts Hero Arts Clear Stamps, I’m A Puffer For You ( EH | SSS | AMZ ). Those pufferfish make me smile. I mean… look at those cute little faces!

In today’s video, I’m showing you how to make a watercolored background with Mini Distress Inks and how to color these pufferfish with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Make sure to read my blog post until the end because I’m sharing another coupon code for 10% off Photo Boards¬ģ.

I had a lot of fun making this card. I started out by creating a watercolor background with a variety of Mini Distress inks. I simply added a wash of water to my paper first to get the colors moving. Then I started mixing the different colors with a lot of water. Next I heat set the watercolors and misted some water to add some flicks. I went back in with the colors afterwards until I was fully satisfied with the outcome.

After creating my watercolored background, it was time to do some stamping! I stamped the waves with Mermaid Lagoon ( EH | SSS | AMZ ) and the fishes with Archival Jet Black ink ( EH | AMZ | SSS ). This time I used Archival Jet Black ink because I was working with water, so since that ink is water- and smudge-proof, it was the perfect match!

I colored these cute pufferfish with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush markers. For the first time I was able to get some really nice shading! So here’s what I’ve experienced! When you’re using these markers, try to pick two colors from the same color family: one darker shade and one lighter shade (your highlight). Once you picked out your markers, use the darkest shade first. Then, blend it out with a water brush ( EH | SSS ). Next, use your lightest color and simply blend away until you no longer see the harsh edge between the two colors. Finally, blend your lightest shade with the rest of your card stock. Et voila! ūüôā

I finished off this card with a Clear Wink of Stella glitter pen ( EH | SSS ), Glossy Accents ( EH | SSS | AMZ ), sequins and googly eyes.

Happy Monday, everybody! My exams are almost over so it’s almost time to celebrate. However, that’s not the only reason I want to celebrate. Remember that I briefly mentioned something about Spellbinders a while ago? Well, I can finally share the news… A while ago, Spellbinders reached out to me and invited me on their SpellBlogger team. Of course I said yes!

More information and a COUPON CODE can be found later in this blog post. First I would like to share my very first card as a SpellBlogger featuring the Make Mine Lemon Mine die cut set from the Shapebilities Market Fresh by Debi Adams collection ( Spellbinders | SSS | AMZ ). In this video, I’m showing you how to add dimension with Distress Ink to stand alone dies like these.

When I first saw the Make Mine Lemon Mine die cut set Spellbinders Make Mine Lemon Lime Dies ( Spellbinders | SSS | AMZ ), I knew I wanted to make a cute card with it! But when it arrived and I sat down to create something with it, I was a bit intrigued. I honestly rarely make a card using a stand alone die. I use coordinating dies all the time, but stand alone dies? Those are pretty new to me!

I die cut the lemon shapes with Spellbinders Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine ( Spellbinders | SSS ). Then, I added dimension with Distress Inks. It looks like I used at least two different colors per tone while I only used one for each! For the yellow, I used Squeezed Lemonade Ranger Distress Ink Pad, Squeezed Lemonade ( EH | SSS | AMZ ). By simply adding more ink and by blending it out, you achieve a dimensional and fun look. For the green pieces, I used Twisted Citron Ranger Distress Ink Pad, Twisted Citron( EH | SSS | AMZ ).

lI wanted my sentiment to pop without using anything too bright. So, I reached for some subtle patterned paper from Pinkfresh Studio ( SSS ). I die cut the sentiment twice out of Fun Foam ( SSS | AMZ ) for extra dimension. Finally, I finished off my card with a variety of sequins from The Ton. They’re my favorite! ūüôā

SPELLBLOGGER + COUPON CODE

When Shelley from Spellbinders reached out to me and asked me if I was interested in joining the SpellBlogger team, I agreed! To be honest, I never used Spellbinders product before but after doing some research I thought it would be a great idea to join the team. In honor to celebrate this special occasion, I’m sharing a coupon code LAURA10¬†to take 10% off everything but clearance. This coupon code expires on Tuesday, 1st of August, 2017.¬†Start shopping by clicking HERE or the products in my supply list below. Happy shopping!

Hi, everyone and welcome to Premiere Day No. ¬†4 of Winnie & Walter’s January/February Release.

In today’s video, I’m showing you how to make a watercolor card with the brand new Welcome to the Family with Evelin T Designs stamp set along with the Sending You with Evelin T Designs stamp set.

I enjoyed making this easy watercolored rainbow with Distress Inks. You don’t need expensive watercolors to make a pretty background. Mini Distress Inks are a great alternative! These mini cubes cost approximately $3 and you can use them for so many techniques such as ink blending, watercoloring, and more.

I once saw Kristina Werner using a laminated piece of white card stock as a Distress Ink palette. This is an easy way to see exactly what the color looks like on white paper. I smudged all of the colors I used on the palette and mixed the colors with water to create a rainbow. Be sure to add clear water to your piece of watercolor paper before adding the color. This will make sure that the colors move and blend so much easier.

I colored the elephants from the Welcome to the Family set with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Markers. It took a while for me to understand how these makers work. I found that the color blend the easiest on watercolor paper. I recommend adding color with the marker on dry card stock and then blending it with a water or regular paint brush. You can repeat this step until you’re satisfied with the result.

I finished off my card by heat embossing a sentiment from the Sending You with Evelin T Designs stamp set with WOW Neutral Ultra Shimmer embossing powder. This is by far my favorite glitter embossing powder. It’s clear so you can use it with any color! Finally, I finished off my card with enamel dots, clear sequins and die cut hearts.

That’s it for now. See you soon! Xo

Happy Monday everyone! I’m so glad to be here again with a new card. Originally, I wanted to do a video on this card but because it’s been so dark outside this weekend (and since I *still* haven’t purchased good film-lighting) I haven’t been able to do it. Let’s hope I’ll be able to make a new video for you soon!

For today’s card, I used some new goodies from Winnie & Walter. The Season’s Tweetings with Evelin T Designs stamp set has been sitting on my desk for a long time so I was dying to make a card with it. It’s such a cute set!

I started out by stamping and coloring the igloo and the penguin with Copic markers. I did some basic ink blending but added an extra oomph with Tim Holtz Distress Rock Candy Glitter and Glossy Accents. I dapped some Multi Medium Matte on the edges of the igloo and on the penguin’s cap with my finger. Next, I sprinkled on the glitter and tapped of the access. For some dimension on the bulbs, I used Glossy Accents. I love how festive and sparkly these images ended up looking!

Since I wanted the images to be the focal point of this card, I did some really soft ink blending with Tumbled Glass Distress ink. Before putting everything together, I figured I still needed a greeting on this card. I used the MISTI tool to stamp the sentiment from the Happy Owlidays with Evelin T Designs set with black ink. After cleaning my stamp, I re-inked it with the Ultra Sticky pad from WOW. Finally, I sprinkled on some Neutral Ultra Shimmer embossing powder and heat set it. To finish off the card, I adhered the colored images and added some wood veneer stars and sequins.

That’s it for now! Thanks again for reading today’s post and I hope to see you soon with a new video. Happy holiday season! Xo
