Happy Saturday, everybody! While I was browsing through my stamps, I saw the Mermaid For You stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I only used it once this far, so I decided to pull it out again to create a fun mermaid card. Lots of ideas popped into my head when I was looking at the set. I finally decided I wanted to make a dreamy mermaid tag with a stencil, embossing paste and glitter.

I just love how dreamy and sparkly the mermaid tag looks! The best part? It wasn’t even that hard to make. Simply die cut a tag or any other shape and grab the Madison stencil from Winnie & Walter. I created my own colored embossing paste with white embossing paste from Wendy Vecchi with three different Distress Ink colors. After creating my ombré pattern, I added a little bit of Clear Rock Candy glitter from Tim Holtz.

waving-hello-full-cardNext, I colored a couple of images from the Mermaid for You set from Lawn Fawn. I did some really basic and easy coloring with the Copic Sketch Markers. Be sure to watch the video for more tips on how to do some fast but pretty coloring!

waving-hello-close-upLately, I’m really into vellum and banners. So for today’s project I decided to combine these two! I heat embossed a gold sentiment with Metallic Gold Rich Sparkle from WOW on a piece of vellum. After assembling the card, I added some sparkle here and there with some pretty sequins from Little Things from Lucy’s Cards and with some clear sequins from The Ton.

That’s it for this week’s Saturday Stamp Day video. Thanks so much for watching. See you soon! Xo

Hey, friends and happy Saturday to all of you! I am so glad to be sharing another Saturday Stamp Day video with you. A couple of days ago, the adorable and brand new Magical Unicorns set from My Favorite Things arrived. When I first saw this set, lots of ideas popped into my mind. So today I am sharing a cute and colorful sequin shaker card made with these unicorns.

Isn’t that stamp set the cutest? I had so much fun making this project!

magical-fullFirst, I stamped and colored one of the unicorns from the Magical Unicorns set from My Favorite Things. Lots of images come with this set so there are endless possibilities! I also colored one of the rainbow and clouds image with my Copic markers. Next, I created the focal point of this card. I die cut the cloud from the End of the Rainbow once and I added a bit of blue shading with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to give it a little bit of an extra touch. Afterwards, I die cut that cloud once more to create a fun and whimsical sequin shaker with the Fuse tool from We R Memory Keepers.

ssd-closeupAfter filling up the sequin shaker with a fun mix of sequins, I heat embossed a sentiment with Long Island Teal embossing powder from WOW. This is one of my favorite embossing powders because of the gorgeous aqua color mixed with the gold glitter. It’s absolutely stunning! Since this unicorn and rainbow were so cute, I wanted to add some colorful patterned paper. I used the Everyday Collection paper pad from Avery Elle. Finally, I finished off my card with some sequins, a bit of Wink of Stella Glitter and a touch of Glossy Accents!

That’s it for now! 🙂 Thanks so much for stopping by. xo

Happy Easter weekend, friends! My Easter Break has officially kicked off. Even though I have some work to do for college, I will take lots of breaks to relax and make cards. Today I am here with a new Saturday Stamp Day video featuring the Fairy Friends set from Lawn Fawn.

I created a sequin shaker and I did two fun die cutting techniques: partial die cutting and inlaid die cutting.

I started out by coloring the Fairy Friends set with Copic markers. I used a bunch of different colors to give this card a whimsical feeling. My coloring technique is really easy. Usually, I only reach out to two colors. Sometimes I tend to use three colors. However, I always use the lightest color first to saturate the paper. Then, I use the darkest color to add the shading. To blend that out, I either use the lightest color or the medium color. It’s easy! 🙂

After coloring and die cutting the fairies, I started by creating the main element for the card. First, I die cut the three flowers of the Fairy Friends set. Next, I used a circle die to do some partial die cutting. Partial die cutting is a cool technique I learned from Jennifer McGuire. Once I die cut all of the flowers, I used the mini MISTI tool from My Sweet Petunia to line up the stamps with the flower die cuts. I also colored these flowers with Copic markers.

It’s been a while since I made a sequin shaker so I grabbed the Fuse tool and created a quick shaker. I filled the shaker up with Walter’s Sparkly Shaker Mix. This is an exclusive shaker mix by Little Things from Lucy’s Cards for Winnie & Walter. I really liked the colors! For the sentiment, I wanted to highlight the word ‘fairy’ so I did some masking. The mini MISTI tool made it even easier since I had the sentiment already mounted on there. I used Long Island Teal embossing powder from WOW for the gorgeous aqua color. It has some gold shimmer in there which is simply beautiful. I finished off the card by adhering a couple of sequins here and there. 🙂

That’s it for now! Thank you so much for reading my post and for watching my video. I hope you’re having a great Easter weekend. xo

Happy Saturday, everybody! It has been a very long time since I posted a Saturday Stamp Day video so I am thrilled to finally share a new one. I finished my exams this week and I will be receiving my results this week, so fingers crossed! Unfortunately, I won’t be having a lot of time to recover from exams since I’ll have to start working on a project for college for the next two weeks. Yikes. Anyway, the good news is I will have a week off after the project is finished. 🙂

For today’s video, I played with a lot of products from some of my favorite companies including Create A Smile, The Ton and Els Brigé Design (that’s a Belgian stamp company!). Now let me explain something before you may think the sentiment on my card is spelled wrong, lol! The sentiment is spelled “hoera’ because that’s the Dutch word for “hooray”.

I started out with the Lovely Critters stamp set from Create A Smile Stamps. I love that the designer and owner from Create A Smile, incorporated at least one heart in each critter! How cute is that?! I decided to use the snail and color it with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Next, I stamped a bold flower background using the Fresh Cut Roses stamp set from The Ton with their brand new Couture Color ink pads. You can get the inks I used individually or in a bundle!

You rarely see me using Dutch sentiments even though I speak Dutch and live in Belgium. However, since I was in need of some more birthday cards for friends and family, I used a beautiful sentiment stamp from Els Brigé Design. I recommend this set set to anybody who speaks Dutch because these sentiments are so pretty! I heat embossed the greeting with Parma Violet embossing powder from Wow! since that matched with the purple roses.

To add some more interest, I stamped some hearts here and there and of course a couple of sequins to double up the sparkle and shine. Overall, I am very glad with the way this card turned out! It just screams SPRING to me which is great because spring is my favorite season. 🙂 Also, these flowers better watch out because snails + flowers = trouble. They love to eat the dahlias in our garden overnight!

That’s it for now! Thanks so much for taking your time to watch my video and maybe even read my blog post! Big hugs all of you and I’ll see you soon! xo
