Hello everyone! Sorry for the Sunday Stamp Day instead of Saturday Stamp Day, lol! πŸ™‚

For today’s card I was inspired by the Simon Says Stamp Challenge (A Bit O’ Green) so I decided to join the challenge :). I started out with some greenish/blue-ish card stock and embossed it with a Sizzix Embossing Folder using my Big Shot. Then I took some watercolor paper from Simon Says Stamp and I stamped the Paper Smooches Party Pals Stamp on it with StazOn Jet Black Ink (which smells heavenly I think). Then I colored the image with watercolor pencils from Staedtler. I added some shadow using a BG10 Copic Marker. I also wanted to decorate the balloon so I stamped a sentiment and flowers using the Paper Smooches Paisleys and Daisies Stamp Set using Versamark Ink. Then I embossed them with Clear Embossing Powder. To add some color to the balloon I used Distress Inks. I kinda smudged Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn on a slick surface and then I sprayed the ink with a Mini Mister. Then I took a paint brush and used the wet ink as paint to color the balloon.

That’s it for today! Thanks for visiting, I’ll be back really soon! πŸ™‚

Hello everyone!

I decided to join the Retro Sketch Challenge this week. For this card I used the March 2013 Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp. I cut a 4,25″ by 4,25 inch card from Simon Says Stamp Woodgrain Paper. That paper is just lovely. It has a gorgeous textured woodgrain pattern on it. Then I used paper from the Daphne’s Closet 6×6 Paper Pad from Lawn Fawn and embellished it with the coordinating Sticker Sheet. For the sentiment I used the Flower Friend Stamp Set from Simon Says Stamp and I stamped the sentiment using Soft Pool Ink from Hero Arts (still my number one favorite ink). To add some extra detail on the card, I added a little flower button :).

That’s it for today! I’ll be back on Saturday with a new Saturday Stamp Day! Thanks for visiting! πŸ™‚

Hi everyone! This is the first blog post I am writing on my Blogspot Blog! If you want to see my previous cards, be sure to go to www.makingcardsisfun.wordpress.com
For this card I wanted to keep it clean and simple. So I started out with Pool Layering Paper from Hero Arts and I cut it to a standard size card. Then I took a piece of Neenah White Card Stock and cut a strip out if it. I stamped on it using the Daisies and Paisleys Stamp Set from Paper Smooches. I absolutely adore this stamp set! It’s full of fun floral stamps, paisleys and cute sentiments! πŸ™‚
I stamped the paisleys using Tide Pool Ink and Soft Granite Ink from Hero Arts and I also used Yellow Citrus Chalk Ink from Colorbox. I really like this color combination! For the sentiment of this card I used the same stamp set and the same inks. To embellish the card I used 2 Pool Buttons from Hero Arts and I tied a knot in it using some leftovers from baker’s twine. I also added a Prima Sculpture Flower.
That’s it for today! Let me know what you think about my new blog in the comment box! πŸ™‚
Have a great day!
