Hello, friends! Today is the day both you and I have been waiting for. It’s time for my 7000 YouTube Subscribers Video Hop and I couldn’t be more excited. Are you ready to be blown away with inspiration from amazing guest designers and eight giveaways? Be sure to keep on reading until the end of this blog post for all the details about the video hop order, the giveaways AND a discount code.

In this video, I am showing how to create a marbled effect using nail polish and water. It’s an easy and fast technique once you get the hang of it. Be sure to use filtered room temperate water and a nail polish that’s not too thick or too thin. Simply fill a plastic container and add¬†droplets of nail polish by holding the brush very close to the water’s surface.

For this special occasion, I decided to create another sequin shaker! I used a beautiful die from Winnie & Walter as the main part of the shaker. I wanted the sequins to match the marble piece perfectly so I grabbed a bunch of sequins from both The Ton and Pretty Pink Posh. Both shops offer beautiful sequins in a huge variety of colors. I love using them, but you probably already knew that, right? ūüôā

HOP, HOP, HOP

The video hop starts on my YouTube Channel (the video you just watched above) and then every video will end with a link to the next stop on the hop. These links can be found in the video descriptions. You should be able to continue on after each video without problems. If the links don’t work for some reason, here’s a list of all videos.

Thank you to all of these wonderful and¬†talented designers to join me for this special occasion! There wouldn’t be a video hop without you!¬†

GIVEAWAYS

In total, there are eight giveaways! In order to win a prize, you must leave a comment on the videos of this hop (comments on the coordinating blog posts will not count as an entry).¬†The comments must be left by August 2nd, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. CST. That’s it for today! I will be back on Saturday for my 7000 YouTube Subscribers Video Hop. ūüôā

Hello, there! ūüôā In today’s video I am sharing a card made for the newest Lawnscaping Challenge (more on that at the end of my blog post). In this video I am showing how to do inlaid die cutting and watercoloring to create a soft rainbow.

The Rainbow die from Lawn Fawn is very versatile. When I saw the die cut and ordered it, I immediately knew I wanted to do some inlaid die cutting with the die. I knew the images from the So Jelly set from Lawn Fawn would match this die perfectly.

I wanted to spruce up a classic rainbow a little bit by adding watercolors. I did some quick watercoloring on small cardstock panels using Distress Inks. Instead of poking out each arch and wasting a lot of time, I used dryer sheets. This is an easy way to die cut intricate dies. It’s also easy to store the leftover pieces for future projects. For the actual inlaid die cutting part, I die cut the rainbow again and kept the negative piece. After adding a lot of adhesive on the notecard, I pieced together the arches.

You all know that I am crazy about cute stamp sets. The So Jelly set from Lawn Fawn screamed my name. I colored the jellyfish and starfish using Copic markers. After adhering them to the rainbow, I created the sentiment piece. For this I used the same stamp set but I also used a gorgeous new embossing powder from Wow called Long Island Teal. This is a teal colored glitter embossing powder with hints of gold sparkle. It’s so pretty and unique!

July’s second Lawnscaping Challenge is called “Color“. You can link up your creations inspired by the rainbow for a chance to win a $25 gift voucher to Lawn Fawn. Click HERE to be directed to the Lawnscaping Challenge blog so you can link up your creations! ūüôā

Happy Saturday, friends! It’s time for another Saturday Stamp Day card and video. In today’s video I am sharing a card made with goodies from WOW! Embossing Powder, Paper Smooches, Create A Smile and more!

A couple of days ago, I shared a picture on my Instagram showing some new goodies from WOW! Embossing Powder. A lot of you were interested in hearing my thoughts about their stamps. Today I tried out the Flights of Fancy stamp set. These photopolymer stamps are made in the UK¬†and I am very enthousiastic about them. They stamp beautifully and they’re easy to use!

Thanks card made by Laura Sterckx using WOW! Embossing Powder, Create A Smile, Simon Says Stamp and more goodies!

After I stamped the flower/leaf piece, I decided it would be fun to create a sequin shaker. I used sequin mixes and individual sequins from The Ton. I am particularly crazy about their mixes, they come in so many pretty colors. Next, I colored a bird from the Jungle Fever set from Create A Smile. I thought the bird would fit the exotic background perfectly! Finally, I added a sentiment using the brand new Summer Greetings dies from Simon Says Stamp. ūüôā

That’s it for now! I will be back on Monday. See you then! xo
