Happy Saturday, friends! I was happy to read that you are all excited about my 7000 YouTube Subscribers Video Hop. 🙂 It’s time for another Saturday Stamp Day video and today I made a birthday card since it’s the sweet Julie Mogford’s birthday today! She is one of the two owners of Winnie & Walter.

I used the My Precious stamp set from Winnie & Walter as the focal point of this card. Watercoloring is super hot again in the card making world so I decided to do some more of it using Distress Inks. I created a bright background by using four different colors and multiple layers.

Sparkle On Your Day made by Laura Sterckx using Winnie & Walter My Precious + Sparkle stamp sets.

The past couple of days I am really loving black and white stripes combined with gold glitter. It makes every project look chic and festive! For the sentiment on this card I used the Sparkle stamp set from Winnie & Walter. I thought this matched the watercolored gems perfectly. To finish off the card, I used two different sequin mixes from The Ton. Their sequins are so beautiful. All of their colors are simply delicious.

That’s it for now! I will be back very soon! 🙂 xo

Hello, friends! A couple of days ago, I received a package filled with goodies from The Ton. The package included two things I am crazy about: flower stamp sets and sequins. I have been playing with the products and since I am loving them, I decided to do a video.

In today’s video, I am showing you how to create a card using a layering stamp set from a fairy new stamp company called The Ton. They offer beautiful stamp sets and splendid embellishments (gilding). The Fresh Cut Peonies has won my heart. This is a 6×8 stamp set that can be used to stamp your own beautiful peonies. Included with this stamp set, is a little note that has guidelines on them and step by step graphics so you can easily see how you need to layer and mount the stamps. This makes the stamping easier and faster!

You're Awesome card made by Laura Sterckx using the Fresh Cut Peonies from The Ton.

In total, I used three colors of inks for the peonies. Those were three shades of pink that are slightly different than each other so it’s easy to create the layering effect. If you do not have three colors, you could use two like I did for the leaves. Simply stamp one color twice or three times so you will see a color difference. I wanted to let the flower piece shine and pop so I added a stripe of gold glittered card stock and a strip of striped washi tape. Finally, I finished off this card using the Tequila Sunrise Couture Mix from The Ton. I really like those teeny tiny gold stars! 🙂

The Ton provided me with the stamp sets and sequins used in today’s video. They sent me some products to try out and since I genuinely love them I decided to do a video. Thanks, Effie!
