Happy Saturday everyone! 🙂 In today’s video I am showing you how to make a sequin shaker card using the new Sugar Rush stamp set from Winnie & Walter. Be sure to watch until the very end of my video, because there might be little giveaway.

I started out by die cutting three circles using a die cut set from WPlus9. Next, I stamped bokeh dots using the Big Bang Confetti stamp set from Winnie & Walter. I love this stamp set so much. There are a lot of images included that you can use to create your own background. I used Lemon Yellow ink from Hero Arts and Cotton Candy ink from Simon Says Stamp. These colors look so pretty together. Can you tell I really like yellow lately? 😉

After stamping the bokeh background, I created my shaker. On the inside of the sequin shaker, I stamped images and a greeting from the new Sugar Rush stamp set from Winnie & Walter. I think this stamp set is simply fabulous and it’s perfect for birthday cards. (Did you know Winnie & Walter used my input to create this stamp set? I asked for a stamp set with donuts and cupcakes and ta-da! This is what they came up with. Love it!)

I colored the images using Copic markers and paper pieced the cupcake wrapper with Dear Lizzy patterned paper. I filled up the sequin shaker with new seed beads from Pretty Pink Posh and the traditional sequins. What can I say…. I love sequins.

Hello everyone! Today I am here with a blog post which is part of a surprise birthday blog hop for one of the owners of Winnie & Walter: Shay. She is such a lovely and hardworking lady so Julie and the Winnie & Walter DT decided to host a blog hop to surprise her!

For today’s card, I used a lot of the new products from the January 2015 Release from Winnie & Walter. First, I stamped stripes using the new Scenery: Stripes stamp set. I used Hero Arts inks to stamp these solid and crisp lines. Love! Afterwards, I took one of my new favorite stamp sets from Winnie & Walter called The Party. I used that set to stamp the balloon with black ink. I really like how the balloon turned out. To give it an extra oomph, I adhered some Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

After I finished the balloon and stripes, I used the new Sparkle stamp set. You’ll get this stamp set for free when you purchase at Winnie & Walter. There are some requirements, though. Here they are: your order must be placed through February 13 at 10 am CST time, your single order must total $35 or more before shipping and handling and taxes are applied. This offer is while supplies last. Don’t worry if you didn’t get the stamp set this time. It will be available for purchase later in 2015. 🙂 To finish off the card, I stamped a cute heart and star from the Sugar Rush stamp set.

VIDEO MESSAGE

To make this blog post a little bit more personal, I recored a video message wishing Shay a happy birthday. By the way, I had to record this video about 10 times until I was a *bit* happy with how it turned out. Lol!

Thanks so much for stopping bye! Be sure to visit the Winnie & Walter blog for more inspiration. xo

Hey everyone! Today I am here with a video showing you how to create a fast and colorful birthday card with new Winnie & Walter products. This video is also part of a video hop, hosted by Emily Leiphart, in honor to celebrate a milestone. More on that video hop later in this blog post…

For today’s bright and cheerful card, I used new stamps and sequins from Winnie & Walter.

First, I stamped a quick and easy background using a new stamp set from Winnie & Walter called The Party. This stamp set is filled with so many tiny images that are perfect to use to create your own background. I used different Hero Arts inks to stamp these images. This time I decided to go for bright colors since this is a special occasion! 😉

Next, I created a frame because I wanted to make another sequin share. First I used a smaller rectangle die cut from the Large Stitched Rectangles die cut set from Lawn Fawn. Then, I used a larger frame from the Stitched Duo 2 die cut set from Pretty Pink Posh. I didn’t do actually die cutting using that die. Instead I did some embossing! It is an easy and quick technique. Here’s the recipe:

MULTI PURPOSE PLATFORM (NO TABS SHOWING) + GLASS PLATE PLATE + A MOUSE PAD OR PIECE OF RUBBER + YOUR PIECE OF PAPER WITH THE DIE CUT ON + GLASS PLATE.

If you run it trough your Big Shot machine like so, you will end up with embossed lines!

After I created the frame, I adhered a piece of acetate to create a shiny little box. Next, I used Fun Foam to create dimension. Before filling up the shaker, I stamped a cute scene using the Sugar Rush stamp set from Winnie & Walter along with the Sparkle stamp set (this is a free with purchase stamp set. Please check my video description of this video for details about that set.).

I adhered the piece of Fun Foam using Multi Medium Matte. This is a very strong adhesive which is perfect to adhere the foam. This time I filled up the shaker using an exclusive sequin mix for Winnie & Walter created by Pretty Pink Posh. These colors are absolutely lovely! 🙂

Hi all! I have a day off my internship today, so I decided to do some homework for the current Online Card Class called Clean and Simple 4. While I was brainstorming to create a card, the current Cure For The Monday Blues Challenge inspired me as well. More information about the challenge at the end of this blog post. 🙂

Julie Ebersole shared a video in OCC Clean and Simple 4 on how to create a tri-fold card. Her design and color choice inspired me to create this card. First, I scored my card and stamped tiny dots on there using the Big Bang Confetti stamp set from Winnie & Walter. Next, I stamped a sentiment on the card using the free with purchase stamp set from Winnie & Walter called Sparkle.

Inspired by Taheera’s current challenge, Cure For the Monday Blues #42, I created heart strings using the Hearts die cut set from Lawn Fawn and glitter paper. I put a piece of white string on the card, and adhered the hearts on top of the string using foam adhesive. Afterwards, I adhered Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh on top of the string. The foam adhesive and the adhesive of the sequins is enough to secure to thread to the card.

This card would be perfect to give to a bride, don’t you think? 🙂

CURE FOR THE MONDAY BLUES

Cure For The Monday Blues #42

My talented friend, Taheerah Atchia, has a weekly challenge up on her blog called Cure For the Monday Blues. Each week, Taheerah shares an image that you can use as an inspiration to create any project. This week’s image made my HEART happy! I love the soft colors and the heart strings. So pretty!
