Happy Saturday, everyone! It’s Laura here and in today’s Saturday Stamp Day video I am using the Purrfect Pair stamp set from Mama Elephant. Personally, I am more of a dog person than a cat person but these kitties are *so* adorable, don’t you think so? 🙂

If you follow me on Instagram, you already noticed that I have new storage boxes for my Copic markers. Because of those, I did some Copic coloring today. I stepped out of my comfort zone and instead of just doing some simple coloring, I added some stripes to the cat on the right. It’s not perfect, but I tried my best. 😉

Words can’t expres how much I am in love with foil. Foil should be my middle name – Laura Foil Sterckx. It doesn’t even sound bad. Anyway, I foiled a pretty patterned paper from the Heidi Swapp 5th Avenue collection using my favorite mint foil. I didn’t record the part where I am running the foil trough my laminator, so check out THIS video for that part. I thought the card looked a bit plain with just a regular white background. So instead of leaving it white, I stamped teeny tiny hearts using Spun Sugar Distress Ink. Finally, I gave the card an extra finishing touch by adhering 4mm Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

That’s it for now. Sending big crafty hugs to all of you! xo

Hey everyone! It’s time for another Saturday Stamp Day card and video. In today’s video I am showing you how to create a birthday card using a digital stamp from JW Illustrations.

The Kawaii Donut digital stamp from JW Illustrations just makes me happy. That little smiley face is so cute. 🙂 Since my dad printed this at work using a laser printer (so I could color it using Copics!), the paper of this images was a bit too thin. That’s why I adhered a piece of white card stock behind it so it would become more suitable for coloring.

Foiling has become my newest obsession. In today’s video I used more of the 5th Avenue paper collection from Heidi Swapp along with Light Pink Heidi Swapp foil. Next, I adhered a strip of gold glitter paper from DoCrafts. For the sentiment on this card, I used the Stitched Labels die cut set from Pretty Pink Posh along with the Sugar Rush stamp set from Winnie & Walter. As you can see, I used the negative piece of the foil. I think this is a great way to use little scraps that you would normally throw away. To finish off the card, I used a variety of Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

JW ILLUSTRATIONS

As I mentioned before, I am using the Kawaii Donut digital stamp by JW Illustrations. When owner, Jessica, reached out to me and asked if I was interested in using one of her stamps, I was giddy! She designs these digital stamps herself along with other clipart, digital papers, fonts and sometimes cutting files. Of course this digital stamp is my favorite. However, there are some more adorable digital stamps I like. Click HERE, HERE and HERE. 🙂

Hey, stampers. It’s Saturday and that means it’s time for another Saturday Stamp Day card and video. Before we “dive” into the video, I wanted to let you know that my Spring Break has officially begun. Yay!

For today’s project, I used an oldie but goodie from Mama Elephant. It’s the Just Hatched set and it still makes my heart oh-so happy. You see that yellow little owl? Isn’t he adorable? I used my favorite yellow ink to stamp him – Lemon Yellow from Hero Arts.

Foil is the big deal in the card making community, so I decided to use some more of the awesome Heidi Swapp Minc patterned paper. This patterned paper is laser printed, so that means the black patterns or shapes will react to foil. (This technique doesn’t work with “regular” patterned paper.) Because I’m a sequin addict, I created another sequin shaker using a variety of Pretty Pink Posh sequins. Oh, and of course I could’t resist using the Bubble Talk stamp set from WPlus9. I didn’t use the elephants this time, but I did stamp one of the beautiful sentiments. 🙂

That’s it for today! Thanks so much for stopping by. xo

Hello everyone! It’s not exactly Saturday anymore, but I’m here with a new Saturday Stamp Day card and video. Late is better than never, right? 🙂

In today’s video I am using the Bubble Talk stamp set from WPlus9 along with their Borders and Backgrounds 2 stamp set.

I did some masking and ink blending using Spun Sugar and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Inks from Tim Holtz. These are my two favorite Distress Ink colors. You could use any dye ink for the ink blending, but I prefer to use Distress Inks since they blend like butter. On this card, I used a beautiful embossing powder from WOW. This powder is mainly metallic but it has this hint of sparkle to it which I really love. Like always, I finished off my card using a mix of Pretty Pink Posh sequins. They make my heart happy.

That’s it for today! Thanks so much for stopping by. xo
