Hey, stampers. It’s Saturday and that means it’s time for another Saturday Stamp Day card and video. Before we “dive” into the video, I wanted to let you know that my Spring Break has officially begun. Yay!

For today’s project, I used an oldie but goodie from Mama Elephant. It’s the Just Hatched set and it still makes my heart oh-so happy. You see that yellow little owl? Isn’t he adorable? I used my favorite yellow ink to stamp him – Lemon Yellow from Hero Arts.

Foil is the big deal in the card making community, so I decided to use some more of the awesome Heidi Swapp Minc patterned paper. This patterned paper is laser printed, so that means the black patterns or shapes will react to foil. (This technique doesn’t work with “regular” patterned paper.) Because I’m a sequin addict, I created another sequin shaker using a variety of Pretty Pink Posh sequins. Oh, and of course I could’t resist using the Bubble Talk stamp set from WPlus9. I didn’t use the elephants this time, but I did stamp one of the beautiful sentiments. 🙂

That’s it for today! Thanks so much for stopping by. xo

Hello everyone! It’s not exactly Saturday anymore, but I’m here with a new Saturday Stamp Day card and video. Late is better than never, right? 🙂

In today’s video I am using the Bubble Talk stamp set from WPlus9 along with their Borders and Backgrounds 2 stamp set.

I did some masking and ink blending using Spun Sugar and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Inks from Tim Holtz. These are my two favorite Distress Ink colors. You could use any dye ink for the ink blending, but I prefer to use Distress Inks since they blend like butter. On this card, I used a beautiful embossing powder from WOW. This powder is mainly metallic but it has this hint of sparkle to it which I really love. Like always, I finished off my card using a mix of Pretty Pink Posh sequins. They make my heart happy.

That’s it for today! Thanks so much for stopping by. xo

Hey dear blog followers! 🙂 While I’m on my blogging break (and while I’m battling sinusitis), I still like to check some of my favorite online craft shops so I decided to pop in to share some goodies that caught my eye.

First of all,  I noticed that the Hero Arts ombre ink pads are very hot in the card making world lately. However, they are out of stock at most stores. While I  was checking Hallmark Scrapbook, I discovered they still have the ink pads in stock. The best part? They’re offering the pads at a discount. Yay!

Are you going to purchase these ombre ink pads? Do you have them already? If so, what are your thoughts? Do you like them? Do I *need* them?

I love animals so I’m always happy to see cute critter stamps. Lately, a lot of stamp companies have been releasing elephant stamps. I am a happy owner of the WPlus9 elephants (click HERE, HERE and HERE for inspiration using these products), but companies such as Avery Elle and Mama Elephant have been releasing new and adorable elephant sets as well!

Hey everyone! It’s Laura here. As you know, I am technically on a blog break. However, it has been one week since I started this blogging and card making break and I am feeling so much better already. So, here I am with a new Saturday Stamp Day video. 🙂

This card came together faster than you’d think! I started out by foiling a piece of patterned paper from Heidi Swapp. This paper is laser printed so the only thing you need to do is pick a color of foil and run it trough your laminator (or MINC machine). I decided to use one of my favorite colors of foil out there, it’s the Mint foil from Heidi Swapp.

When I saw the chipboard pieces from the Confetti collection from Crate Paper by Maggie Holmes, I fell head over heels in love. The first chipboard piece that caught my eye was the pretty bird. It looks watercolored and it has different patterns. So cute! After adhering it on the card, I created a tiny tag using the Stitched Labels die cut set from Pretty Pink Posh. Next, I added an ombré look using Cracked Pistachio Distress ink. Afterwards, I stamped a greeting on the label using the Butterflies stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. Finally, I finished off my card using Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

Thank you so much for stopping by. See you soon! Xo
