The Ton’s Spring 2018 Release Blog Hop

Happy Wednesday, friends! Today I’m joining The Ton’s Spring 2018 Release Blog Hop. I was originally going to share a video tutorial on this card. However, I’m suffering from a big cold and a super sore throat so I’m unable to do a voice-over. I’m sorry! 🤒 But don’t worry. I’ll share new videos once I feel better.

The Spring 2018 Release is filled with floral designs including dahlias, peonies and roses. In total, there are 14 new stamps, coordinating dies and 5 standalone dies. Good news! There are up to two free gifts with purchases (GWP). For more information on The Ton’s incentive gifts, head over to The Ton’s blog. New release products can be purchased now and all new release orders will begin to ship on Monday, April 9.

The Ton's Spring 2018 Release Blog Hop Featuring Coming Up Dahlias

I’m showcasing the Coming Up Dahlias set. I adore the delicate design. I stamped the flower design twice on Canson Watercolor Paper. Then I colored the flowers and leaves with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I used only three colors: Peach Pink, Orange and Light Green. I like the fact that you need only one color and a water brush for some brilliant shading. Well. I’m not saying my coloring is brilliant. 🤪 I still need a lot of practice. My friend Effie on the other hand, does the most beautiful watercoloring ever.

Once the watercolor piece was completely dry, I die cut a sentiment from the Bold General Greeting Word Plate set from The Ton. Next I adhered a piece of gold glitter card stock on the back of the floral piece. Easy! To finish off this card, I sprinkled some sequins here and there. I used Medallion Gold, Guava Shortcake, Precious Pink and Glass Slippers sequins from The Ton.

What would a blog hop be without a giveaway? 😄 Three new release stamps will be given away to random commenters from the hop participant blogs. To qualify, you must leave a comment on The Ton Blog Hop post. Comments must be left by Friday, April 6 at 5pm. Winners will be announced thereafter on The Ton’s blog. Good luck. 💛

Now it’s time for you to start hopping from blog to blog. 😀 The next stop on the hop is Amy Tsuruta’s blog. Here’s a full list of hoppers:
